HOW TO PRAY AN HOUR A DAY



During our series Supernatural Prayer we have been challenged to pray an hour a day. First why is this necessary?

It is necessay to have longer quantity and quality of prayer because prayer unlocks the door to a more intimate connection with God, greater personal direction, and the supernatural.  The more we pray the more we tap into God's voice and God's power in our lives.

Now this may seem difficult but it's not that hard.  Here are good times to pray. 

Pray in the morning before you start your day, during your traffic commute, during lunch break, or even in the shower.

If you dedicate 10 to 15 minutes a day to praying during these times you can easily reach prayer an hour a day.

Well, how should you pray?

1) Pray in the Holy Spirit. This is your heavenly prayer language that releases revelation for what you should pray for from God's spirit to your spirit.  If you have not developed a prayer language pray as your heart leads for the day ahead, but also pray about being open to receive your own heavenly prayer language.

2) Pray with expectation of what God will do! Make declarations of power! Declarations are a form of prayer.  When you make declarations you create change. Death and life are in the power of the tounge so use your declarations wisely and speak life!

3) Pray for the church and for the lost. Pray that the Gospel reaches the people in your life that you come in contact with the most. Pray for salvation, healing, breakthrough, and provision.

Dedicate yourself to more prayer and you will experience more power, intimacy with God, peace, and wisdom from Our Heavenly Father.

Lets tell you a testimony of physical healing at Faith Forward Church! About a month ago a family visited Faith Forward.  The husband grimaced in pain throughout service from a chronically bad back.  At the closing of service our Pastor said "sir we are going to pray for healing in your back".  After prayer he said he felt something warm in his whole body and he began to walk around the church. What a summer we’ve had! We are truly thankful for your partnership. As we gear up for the fall we wanted to share a few highlights from this Summer. Our Pastor received an award for Pastoral Excellence in the Emerging Church at this year’s Full Gospel Baptist Church International Conference. We are truly proud of our Pastor and his efforts. Our church has continued to “change hearts through our worship”. So far this year we have had multiple baptism and will baptize our good friend Jeff (pictured below) this month. This Summer we launched our youth ministry! We have a committed group of youth that participate in worship and have brought their peers to Faith Forward. Hannah (pictured below) leads our youth dance ministry and said “before coming to this church I felt so lost, but now everything makes sense.” Every month we continue to grow in relationship with each other and new partners through our monthly fellowship meal.
